Excellent post but at the end I had a feeling that it was lacking some details that are important. You didn’t mention tax issues that most people face at their time of withdraw or possible future tax issues that Obama and other presidents are sticking us with.

With the debt we have I’m expecting taxes (doesn’t matter how they are applied with either hyper-inflation or direct taxes) to explode over the next 10 years. That type of investment still in stocks could be disastrous to them long term.

Thanks for you comments. Yes, there were several important considerations I left out. I wanted to keep it confined to just the one issue for easy understanding. Taxes are incredibly important to take into consideration.
