What is your plan? July 17, 2009

Posted by shaferfinancial in Finance.

Just wondering?  Its interesting that over the last year many of my ideas I have been talking about for 4 or 5 years in public forums are starting to have some mainstream traction.  Idea’s like the problems with mutual fund investing, using EIULs to protect your wealth,  value investing with a side of dividend producing stocks, etc.

It seems that the bear stock market and the real estate bubble has forced people to start thinking outside the box.  That is a good thing.  Flexibility should be built into any financial plan.  Stubborn adherence to any particular strategy is a recipe for failure.  But the number 1 thing I note is the same; people don’t have a plan, they bounce from one idea to another.

I can help with that.  Maybe its time for you to design a real financial plan, with built in flexibility, dealing with common wealth transfers [taxes, etc.], and designed so you don’t have all your eggs in one basket?
